I would be working if....

Not to say that my job doesn't need me. This place would probably fall apart if it didn't have me (at least until they found another poor sap to fill my shoes). Something cleaning related COULD happen, but it usually doesn't. Not right now anyways. This is the slow season for my place of work. Sales are dropping a bit so pretty much everyone is taking it easy. Such as me. I am currently blogging. If they needed me they know how to get me. This job isn't too challenging for me anymore. It used to push me out of my comfort zone, but now I am at peace. But that is not to say I like here, on the contrary. I hate working here. It is demeaning. I wish i had an escape. That's why I try to find something to, so I don't think too hard on the fact that I loath being here. At least I get weekends off.......... I just want to be at home with the wife. That's all for now.

Death of a Zombie

I love killing zombies. That is a statement of fact. It doesn't matter what game, if it has zombie killing I am almost always required to like that game. I just recently purchased resident evil 5 gold edition. YAY!!! Zombies galore. Now i just need to find someone to play the game with. It is a good game solo, even better with a friend. btw i am having a lot of fun here in hotlanta. tomorrow the fam and i are going to the renaissance festival. i haven't been there since 6th grade. It should be more fun now then it was back then. any way, what things have you done in the past that you think would be more now then it was at that time? comment plz.

It's been a long time

I can't believe this. It has been too long. Well I am going to just divulge what happened today. I was doing work like normal when I was asked to go on delivery. That is all fine and dandy, except it caused me to be at work for almost 11 hours!!!!! I am there from 6 to 3. but not today!! Anyway i am very tired now. at least i know that i will be getting overtime pay. i can't wait for this weekend. I am going to my sister-in-law's place with the wife. My mother-in-law will be there and we will celebrate mother's day. i look forward to this weekend, even though i know it is going to be a little stressful and very tiring. I just need to get out of greenville for awhile. FYI i am not very thrilled about living in this city. I don't hate greenville, i just don't like living in a city this size. I would rather live in a small town. the yards are too small here. there is no privacy. I feel confined, trapped even. but then again, we are all trapped. trapped by our destiny, even the destinies that we think we are planning for ourselves. .... it seems that i am ranting. i am going to stop here..... nevermind... i am going to stop here.

And then somehow something happened and then we got away

Hey there adoring fans! I have had a good weekend. well except for one thing. this is a thing that has haunted me for a good chunk of my life. Long before i married my wife (the most terrific person in the world) i became addicted to pornography. Although i do my best to abstain, sometimes i am tempted. I love my wife and God. I will do everything in my power (and God's) to be holy. I will deal with this. anywho, on to lighter things. I have a good weekend. on saturday, i hung out with my family because my brother just recently turned 19. The wife and i got him a gamestop card. and we also got my mother flowers, because we hadn't given her her mother's day gift from last year! It was a good visit. then that night, we had my wife's cousin and husband over to play video games and hang out. yes, this weekend has been good to me, for more reasons than i can list. any way, i am sleepy and i am watching golden girls with the wife, so good night all.

Gargoyle is a fun word

So a few good things happened today. I finally got my W-2 today. Yay. The wife and i are getting a pretty good tax return. Too bad all that is going to student loans. The wife and I also fixed up the car. Too bad we are just going to have to replace the duct tape in about a month (that's right, I said/typed duct tape). I found out when my insurance kicks in, too bad that is in about a month and a half. oh well, not even good news can always be good. The wife is sick. That is bad for all here at this household. She gets a bit grouchy and emotional (which i guess go hand-in-hand).
On to the business of this title. I named this post what i named it because the wife told me to. I also find the title to be true. let's see... what else is happening in my world......
I don't know, i can't think i am too tired. work does that to me. plus, i did this post just a tad too late. but i am hanging with the hotness herself, so it all balances out in the end. Speaking of end....

this will be short

I am pretty tired today. That is because i had a nightmare where my wife cheated on me. i had to wake her in order to have my clearly misguided fears destroyed. at work, i took it easy. I also ate lunch with my wifey today. I liked that. we ate at panera bread. I liked that too. the wife might get a day job eventually. I like that too. anyway, i am tired and will now end this blog. to make up for it, i will give you guys two random phrases, and yes that is random!

It won't work

Fumbling

my fingers loosely grasp what my heart says to firmly grip
running down the green field
the smell of grass
the taste of sweat
the feel of the ball
my hold is lost
my defeat laid out
plummeting to the ground
the sound, thud
my life has been wasted on a forgotten dream
a dream of lies.

That was just a nice little poem i just thought up. oh it is good to have inspiration back again. this is sort of my way of talking to God. I do not mind sharing it with others. Sometimes my poems are born out of love or hate, loss or gain, or even nothing at all. I just love writing it down. I feel like whenever i have written a poem down, I have accomplished something great, something to be cherished. Maybe i am just weird. Do you guys ever have something weird like that? A strange desire to do something, simply for the sake of doing it? Oh, and about the title, i didn't think it would work... this putting inspiration on the spot, but it did. I just gave it a chance to shine and it did. thanks inspiration. if any of you guys have a poem or writing that you would like to put up, do it. I do love to read poems and stuff. anyway, it is getting late and i am getting tired (funny how that works out). Goodnight all.

At Last!

I was praying to God last night and something happened that hasn't happened to me in some time. I got some inspiration for a poem. And here it is.

Suddenly before me

Behind these lies
are the curves of truth!
Deeply anchored, swaying
Parted only for the lives
of those that have come before
Cling to the design of fate
Climb your own path which was chosen for you
An Abyss from above, green shimmering light.
The smell of sulfur, the sound of war.
Never ceasing charts, maps
The eyes of greed always watching
The Golden Hope, evading us all
All but One.
Won for All.

I hope you all enjoyed. I am open to translations. Tell me what you think. Critics welcome. Now for the slow fade to black.... oh no this is the end.

i know what i said, but....

i know i said i was going to write more posts, and do it more often, but.... i am lazy. it is not an excuse but merely a statement of fact. this truth is such that few things are truer. I shall now list the things that are truer: God, Love, Vampire Themed things are really getting old, and education is very expensive. Now that i have gotten that out of my system, I do have an excuse for not having one up yesterday. I had carefully typed out a beautiful, expressive post of how wonderful yesterday was, but sadly i couldn't post it. I had tried to post it with my phone and, for reasons unknown (probably because of Satan or clowns), my phone would not post it. I couldn't even save it. I was so distraught that i chose not to re-write it but instead forget about it until today. (stupid clowns). anyway, here is a weak attempt at redoing my last, fabled post.

Yesterday was great. It was great for three reasons: Mexican food, the Greenville zoo, and of course the wife. I started out the day with great sleep. there is truly nothing in the world like great sleep. then the wife and i had breakfast and lounged about a bit (by "a bit" i mean a few hours) before going to the Mexican place that we had been eyeballing since we moved here. It is called Nazario's. Their food is divine (sorry God). The salsa was probably the best salsa i have ever had. I think they put an abundance of cilantro in it. I also had a Screwdriver. For all you overly cautious Christians out there, Jesus made wine and according to the Bible it was Good wine. Anyway, the drink was great. after the Mexican place we went to the zoo. It was a small zoo, but it was well taken care of, and the animals were mostly friendly. later that night the wife went out and got some sandwiches for dinner and i stayed home and played my life as a dark lord. I really like that game. I spent almost the entirety of the day with my wife (for some men that is a bad thing, but for me, well she is my best friend and i enjoy her company). Sorry this post is late, but i hope it finds happy eyes and warm hearts. I would like you to describe your perfect day. whether it has happened or not, i want to know. Thanks for reading, ba de ba de ba de ba de That's all folks.

taking a break

taking a break can be awesome. i dont think i need to tell my audience that. i have been working hard these lase four weeks or so. i just needed a break from everything (except video games). last weekend i went to my in-laws' house. we ate out for almost every meal and watched alice in wonderland. i had a lot of fun and on monday, i went in 3 hours late. mostly because i didn't get back home until late, but whatever. the great part was that no one at work seemed to mind. anyway, i am back and will attempt to write one of these everynite.

First off, i am sorry for not having written a blog in awhile. I was busy with a game i like to call assassin's creed 2. Also, i have been really tired the last few days; i am not getting good sleep these days. On a lighter note, i am staying at my sis-in-law's (sil) house for tonite and i am watching alice in wonderland today with my wife and the sil. This blog is short and i apologize, but u r just readers what r u going to do? ..... Really what r u going to? ..... Please don't hurt me.

today was a day to be remember... wait what was i talking about?

today had its ups and downs. I will start with the downs. I got very little sleep (again) and was almost late to work. One of the toilets i had to clean was pretty much covered in feces. about 50%. I had to take off the toilet seat in order to clean it. I repeat, I had to take off the toilet seat in order to clean it. plus some of the discarded body weight was on the floor too. YAY! Then my bosses kept finding new things for me to do today. so i was moving almost constantly. i am feeling some of the effects right now. maybe i can use this exhaustion to actually fall asleep and stay asleep. on the up side i got to hang with my babe aka the wife and watch some edward scissorhands today. plus she made a fantastic meal tonight... like every night. she is awesome. plus plus i got my gamefly game in today, assassin's creed 2. so far it is pretty good. Again i am sorry to say this but i am tired... no questions today. there is and hopefully will always be a random phrase.

Psych!

I just finished watching a disc of one of my all time favorite shows. It is called Psych. This particular disc was sub par, but i still really enjoyed it. it is a show that is about a hyper observant guy and his friend who pose as psychic detectives in order to solve cases for money and fame. it involves a lot of lying and scheming of which i don't approve, but it is hilarious. the dialogue is what i really love about this show, it is fast and witty. another pressing issue in my life is that it snowed today. the only sad part about it is that it didn't stick enough to play with. I do love the snow, but only if it sticks. other than that i don't like cold weather. work was pretty boring today. I am starting to sense a pattern at work and i don't like it. i don't want to fall into a boring rhythm that slowly kills all sources of creativity and happiness. so i try to mix it up a bit at work. it is hard to do that when it is hard to find things to do at work. sometimes they don't give me enough to do, which is bad because they apparently fired the last guy because he wasn't working enough. i should be okay though, i have received several compliments including: You are so much better than the last guy. I think that's a good thing. there are some of my bosses that i don't like though. How you come up with at least one boss that you don't like and writing about him/her? Don't try to be too mean, just tell why you don't like them and don't use real names. well i have a date with the sandman and he doesn't seem like a good person to stand up. Catch ya on the flip side!

I would say that today was most definitely a monday

Mondays, they suck. I don't like to be the person that says that mondays suck. It's just a day and that's it. This day does not have any mystical power or cursed luck. It is just the day that most people have to go back to work. well my day (i should say night) started out bad. I woke up several times during the night (for no reason... that happens a lot) and barely got any sleep. then when i woke, i realized that i am sick, yay. I coughed and gagged. i apparently have a large amount of phlegm in my chest region. then on the way to work (sorry if this offends) but i had bad gas. (this by no means implies that i think there is good gas.) then i got to work and cough some more. as soon as the coughing subsided i made a dash for the bathroom. mother nature was calling and she wasn't yelling number one. that's right i had diarrhea (if you got a problem with that, oh well). but i didn't just have it once, no no. i have had it four times today (three at work and one at home). oh and get this, the MOD (manager on duty) had me running ragged today. it seemed like everyone had a problem today, and telling me to do something was the only solution. that's ok, it gave me something to do. i don't like to stand around and do nothing, i just wish i had gotten more sleep the night before so that i would have enough energy for it. then there is this girl at work. she makes me uncomfortable. i have already discussed this with the wife. i find this girl (let's call her...... A) pretty and she seems to flirt with me. i could be wrong about the flirting (i am not very good at picking it up) but she seems to seek me out. so i try to ignore her and avoid her, and yes i have told her i am married (i wasn't rude about it though). i don't know, maybe she just wants to be friends with the glorified janitor (that's me btw). oh and i missed seeing that long lost friend (let's call him..... J). he was having a couple of interviews today while i worked so there was no way we could see each other. the wife was able to show him the house in my place. if he gets one of the jobs in the area then he will probably be staying with us until his wife comes down. that could be a few months. i am looking forward to it. the funny thing about this terrible day was that through the whole day i had hope that it would get better. weird huh? well i HOPE you had a good day and a good read. Leave me a comment telling of your least favorite day, and explain why. Also, if you have a terrible day story, go ahead and leave that on the comment section too. Thanks for reading.

The Mortal Curve

Pay no attention to the random title above. It has nothing to do with this blog i just happened to like the sound of that title. I also think it could be an excellent band name. Have you ever tried to come up with good band names? It is just something i like to do (this should come as no surprise to some of you because of my skill at title making). Let's see, i asked a for a question in my last blog and this is the one i picked (forget the fact that it is the only one): If you had to choose between being at a crowded pool or a crowded beach which would you choose and why? I am going to have to think hard on this one. I am not much a crowd lover. I don't particularly like to be in large crowds because i have a fear that there could be a fire or a riot and then i would get trampled. I also don't like swimming either. the person that came up with this question must really not like me. I am going to have to pick a crowded beach. At least at the beach..... you know what, i really don't like the beach. I guess i will have to pick a crowded pool, because at least it is not a beach. I just thought of a good question for you guys. What is one thing that you really really want to do, but haven't for fear of what other people might think? No answer is too sappy or silly. Update on the long lost friend thing. He is going to be in my area tomorrow for a job interview, but sadly i will be at work. If he gets this job then he may just stay with my wife and i for about four months. I think it will be cool. Remember, if you have a question for me, just ask in the comment section.Well i have got to cut this blog post short, i am very tired and i have to get up early tomorrow. I am now going to leave you in the capable hands of the Random Phrase of the Day.

I like my saturdays with a side of fried pickles

I think i am going to hit the ground running with this blog. I got up late this morning and it was great. I woke at about 8:45 am but i consider that very early considering that i usually wake at 4:45 am every morning. Let's see.... i was able to play a lot of video games today on account that the wife was reading one of those vampire books that her sister suggested. This particular book is called the vampire diaries. I am not a big fan of the vampire books but it did get me some game time. how do you all feel about this teen vampire book craze? usually i am not inclined to get something from a fast food place but i made an exception this time on account of a particular hankering i was having. A hankering that only deep fried pickles could cure. My wife was insistent that Jack in the Box sold those so we headed down there immediately. Boy were we surprised to find out that JitB has never sold the yumminess that is fried pickles. Fortunately for us, the next door Zaxby's did so we invested in their brand of fried pickles and were not disappointed. If anyone of you like deep fried pickles I suggest going to your nearest Zaxby's restaurant and ordering a bit of some. They were possibly the best i have ever had (the jury is still out). Next up, I watched a surprisingly good movie today, Hanging Up. It stars Meg Ryan, Lisa Kudrow, and Diane Keaton. It is about a broken up family trying to reconcile with each other through phone calls and reconcile with the fact that the father of the family has lost his mind and is possibly dying. I usually don't like overly sappy movies but this was delightful and surprisingly upbeat. I have a question for our studio audience tonight (or today or whatever time you are reading this). Which do you prefer, Wide screen or Full screen? Leave your answer with an explanation in the comment section below. While were watching the movie we ate a new concoction that my beautiful wife came up with. It involved hamburger meat, sweet peppers, tomato, chili powder, and onions. We put it over rice and I decided to call it Wowee! If you can think of a better name put it in the comment section. After we finished dinner and the movie, we naturally put in another movie: A Christmas Story. Easily one of the best movies ever! I never tire of it. I don't know why I don't watch it more often, oh wait I do know, it is because I don't own it (weep). Another great addition to today (besides blogging to my amazing audience) is that my wife and I found a game that we both enjoy playing together, Dr. Mario Online Rx. It is great and I recommend it for all our Wii owners out there. I wish I had more to write about. If you guys have anything to suggest or a question for me to answer just leave a comment and I will try my best to address it in my next post. Thanks for reading True Believers!

I am the Darklord!!!!

I am playing a game today called My Life as a Darklord. It is a fun little rpg for the wii. I have played a demo for it before but this actual game is even better. Anywho, this blog is not all about that (forget the title). I would actually like to write about some of the happenings of today. I got to use a gas-powered leaf blower today. It was kinda fun. Of course, this had to do with work so I wasn't allowed to have too much fun. Oh the devious things I could do with a leaf blower..... maybe i am a darklord trapped in a young man's body. I think i might be becoming sick. I don't believe that should have any effect on my ability to write to you all, so don't worry I'll still be here. You will still have something semi-entertaining to do while you are doing laundry or the commercials are on. TGIF, rite? I have been looking forward to this weekend since the last one ended. I am so tired. I feel energized at the same time. Does that ever happen to you? If it has, leave me a comment describing the time that it happened. This blog is taking me a long time to type because i keep stopping to play more of the game. I really, really like this game. I am trying really hard to stay up tonight, because my wife and i are going to try to hang out some more tonight, I don't know if i can make it. Let's see what else happened today? I was good natured enough today to allow my wife to sleep in. Usually she gets up at the same time i do (4:45 am) so that she can make me b-fast and my lunch for the day. Well we had left over pizza, so I had that for b-fast. She also made my lunch the night before so she slept in. oh yeah, I also got paid today. I guess i can't come up with anything new so I guess i will finish this and concentrate on the more important task of kicking this game's butt.

poems and potties

While i was cleaning up other peoples' poo i thought of this poem. don't worry the poem has nothing to do with poop or anything like that. here we go.

Fly Away
The Sun has its ending
the darkness looms
Butterfly better fly away
Butterfly better fly away
Innocence has disappeared
Experience consumes
Butterfly better fly away
Butterfly better fly away
Always tired
Never freed
Butterfly better fly away
Butterfly better fly away
Wings have been pinned down
Seemingly eternally bound
Butterfly better fly away
Butterfly better stay away

what do you guys think of that? i am not exactly sure what made me think of that, but it sounded good to me. anywho, something good happened to me today at work. I was in a meeting that was put together so that the employees could voice their opinions and find new ways to improve the store. at one point in the meeting someone (a girl) spoke up and said that we should hire a female cleaner as well. (this made me feel sad). her reasoning was that sometimes it takes me a while to clean the bathrooms and i have to block it off so there are no women in there with me. but as soon as she said this the whole rest of the table (with about 16 people at it) all started saying what a wonderful job i do and that no one else should come in and take my job. this made me feel really good especially because the store manager was sitting next to me while they said all this. That's right, if there is one thing i am good at that is cleaning toilets...... maybe not something to brag about, but i am making money doing it. anywho, it was a real confidence booster. thanks team. i also want to say what a huge youtube fan i am. i like watching the shaycarl and shaytards channels alot. that is one funny family. (shameless advertising).

I am doing this blog project that a friend has helped me with, she came up with five words or phrases and i have to explain what each mean to me. here we go they are psychology, Jack Black, poetry, video-games, and funny.

PSYCHOLOGY: This was my major in college. I enjoy using it and talking about it in normal conversations. my wife also majored in it. I think that the studying of the mind should be a necessary study for all college students. It allows you help others but most of all allows you to look at yourself and say, oh i think i understand now.

JACK BLACK: This man is very funny. His humor can be a little dark, and a little perverted, but then again so can mine. He is a little off-the-wall and not too shabby of a singer either (i don't really like his music though). I have enjoyed all of his movies that i have seen such as School of Rock and Nacho Libre.

POETRY: As you can tell from the beginning of this blog, i enjoy poetry. one of the reasons i believe my wife is still with me is because i write her poems from time to time. I have like writing poems since high school. I think poetry can set the soul free and allow one to see things as they are, instead of as we wish they were.

VIDEO-GAMES: This is my number one favorite hobby. I love to play video-games. I love talking about video-games. I love watching tv programs about video-games. mmmmmm..... video-games, aagggg (in a very homer simpson style i drool on myself at this point). Anyone who has known me for more than five minutes knows how much I love video-games.

FUNNY: Isn't it funny that if someone thinks they are funny, but they aren't then they are conceited. but if they don't think they are funny, but they really are then they are cool. well i think i am funny, because i am. i may not be funny all the time, but i am most of the time and that mostly sounds funny to me. I like comedies and jokes. Most of my friends are funny. I just love to laugh.

Well there you have it. I did pretty good huh? Thanks for reading this and i hope that you will continue to in the future (flying car not required).

Adam Sandler is a Father-Figure Genius!

Hello readers, or should I say John and my wife (that's right ladies I am taken), I am just sitting at home watching Big Daddy by myself. My lovely lady has gone to work to make some moola. As some of you may know my wife and I both have jobs, but what you may not know is that my job is from 6am - 3pm every week day and her job is 6pm - 10pm every week night. So we only get a few hours together every weekday. The time I have after she leaves is all for me. So I have decided to make at least some of that time into bloggin' time. Anyway, I would like to update you all on some new info (listen up john this will be on the final). Remember that good friend that I wrote about in one of my last blogs? He will be beginning a job in my area soon, but he won't be moving to here for awhile, so he might just be staying with my wife and I for a couple of months or so until he can get his homestead settled. Neat huh? Why don't you guys tell me what you think about that. I would really like to know, really. Don't be shy.... I said don't be shy. Thanks for reading and I should have another one up soon... like tomorrow or something.

things that are happening

my wife, that sexy lady, is now on this health kick. Not that i am upset about that i just wanted to say it. She is so excited about it and she is trying to find out everything she can. She is looking up new ways of exercising and new ways to prepare food. She seems really pumped about this and i am proud of her for being so self motivated about this. Let's see, what is going on that is more personal to me?...... Oh yeah, a really good friend of mine is moving from virginia to south carolina. I haven't seen him in so long. FYI he was the best man at my wedding. I have known him since high school. It will be good to have him so close. Anywho my break is almost up and i would like to spend it relaxing, so see ya!

Fresh

This is my first blog for blogspot and my first actual blog in years. I`m a bit tired so I will keep this brief. I will start off with something that is on my mind, I am a college grad. I thought that meant something. It was the whole reason I excelled in school, so I could succed in my later life.... This is not the case. I studied psychology and now I get paid $9.00 an hour to clean toilets and aisles. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to have a job. I just assumed (don't ever do that btw) I would be helping people in a more psychological way. Although I have noticed that people seem to regress to a child-like state-of-mind in a public restroom (a matter I wish to study from afar). Well that is all for now, me need some rest and entertainment.
